Submitted by Candie, Cody, and Cory
Vickie (Williams) Heiniger, 70, of Crawford, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 19, 1954, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to William and Nancy Williams, Vickie grew up with a heart full of love and a spirit that drew people in. She married the love of her life, Ross Heiniger, and together they built a beautiful life—one filled with laughter, adventure, and deep devotion to family.
Vickie’s greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart into raising her children and took just as much pride in being “Grandma” and “Great-Grandma.” She adored her “dids” (dog kids) and treated every animal in her care like family. Her kindness was genuine, her hugs were warm, and her presence had a way of making people feel valued and loved.
She is survived by her husband, Ross; her children, Candie (Tim), Cody (Tracy), and Cory (Shannon) Heiniger; grandchildren Shana (Patrick), Colten, Derek, Cialee (Michael), Tessa (Drew), and Kaden (Emily); great-grandchildren Branson, Azalee, Zealan, Cainaan, and Myers; and her siblings, Shana, Bill, Faye, Sandi, and Lanis.
Vickie is reunited in heaven with her parents, William and Nancy; her brother, Jodi; her sister, Nancy; her son, Christopher; her grandson, Raydin; and her beloved grandmother, Silvia Woodard. At Vickie’s request, there will be no formal service. Her family invites everyone who knew her to celebrate her life in their own way and share a story, perform a kind act, spend time with loved ones, or simply smile when they think of her.
“She was deeply loved, and she loved deeply—and that love will remain forever.”
