Steven Ray “Steve” Mabie, 72, passed away on December 3, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born on November 13, 1953, in Grand Junction – the community he proudly called home for most of his life.

Steve was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. A mechanic by trade, he was known for his skill, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether fixing an engine or lending a patient ear, Steve showed up for others without hesitation.

He found his greatest joy in the outdoors. Steve loved camping in the Moab area, RZR riding through the red-rock trails, fishing, and ¼-mile drag racing. These adventures, shared with family and friends, were where he was happiest.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his daughters, Christy and Tonya, and his cherished grandchildren, Cayden, Ethan, and Madilyn. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 pm at The Grand Valley Oasis Venue, 535 Hoover Drive, Grand Junction, CO. 81504. Attendees are invited to dress casually, just as Steve would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to HopeWest Hospice Care Center. https://www.hopewestco.org/donate/.
