Renee Kay Stephenson

Renee Kay Stephenson (Braaten), age 64 passed peacefully surrounded and supported by her loved ones on February 7th, 2026 at HopeWest Care Center. Renee was born June 7th, 1961 at Lincoln Memorial (Grand Junction, Colorado) to her parents Susan Rose Clark (Monte) and Larry Braaten.

Growing up she enjoyed playing baseball, riding horses and spending her time at the rodeo with family and friends. She loved the beauty of the outdoors, especially hours of fishing. Renee spent most of her working career as a Walmart employee where she made lots of friends and memories. Renee settled down in Colorado and enjoyed time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandbabies. She was able to show love with actions and everyone around her could feel her loving nature.

Renee is Survived by her 2 Daughters; Casey (JD) Ward and Kyla (Justin) Santucci. Grand Children; Pryce, Hailey, Bailey, LoKyn, and Bentlee. Great Grandbabies; Easton and Zyra. Parents; Susan and Larry. Siblings; Tony and Junior. She is Predeceased by Theresa Monte (Belcastro) and Shirley Walz (Monte).
