The stories I hear every day amaze me. I am always so humbled by the lives we touch and the difference we are able to make. In our world today most of health care is delivered in a fashion that has very little to do with fundraising. In fact, you would be surprised that most hospices in other communities today are funded by venture capital and delivered by national health care companies. I am sure that basic hospice care is provided by them, but every day someone stops me and says “thank you for the kind of hospice care we have in our community that HopeWest provides. You know it doesn’t happen everywhere like this.” It happens this way because of thousands of people who donate time and money to make it special.
