Kayla Lynn Menendez

Kayla, age 36, passed away on April 20, 2026. She was surrounded by loved ones during her passing. She was a natural at caregiving and stepped up early in life to help raise her younger siblings, showing maturity beyond her years. At 17 she embraced motherhood with joy and spent her life as a tireless provider. Kayla was an exceptional cook especially with Latin American dishes that brought her family together.

To those she loved, she was always rooting us on. Always checking in to make sure everyone was okay. More than anything, she worked hard to ensure her four children, Christain, Hailey, Brian, and Lio, never went without. Even for the kids she took under her wing, Evan and Cody whom she called her own. She also had many kids call her auntie. Kayla also leaves behind her father, Mike, her sisters, Kennia and Destini and her brothers Daniel, Mikey, and Dean.

She did face health challenges more recently, but the family chooses to remember her as the fierce woman who cared for everyone, and was a vibrant role model to many.

After 15 years of missing her mom, she found her way back into her arms. Kayla is now at rest and at peace, reunited with her loved ones in the big sky!
