Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman who most likely fished every lake on the Grand Mesa. He served his country as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the US Army. He was a devoted member of his church for over 70 years. During that time, he served as a board member for more than 40 years, held the position of Royal Ranger Commander, acted as a youth leader, and taught Sunday school. He played a key role in every building phase and project at Delta First Assembly, which is now known as Rivers Church. He retired from the US Post Office in the late 1980s.
Most of all, Joe was a man who lived to bring honor to the Kingdom of God. He would be the first to tell you that he was nothing outside of the Grace bestowed upon him by the blood shed on the Cross of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, we are accepting donations to support the furtherance of the Gospel, especially through AGWM. Donations can be sent to Rivers Church in Delta—please memo: Joe’s Missions.
