Everyone Could Use Some Holiday Magic

The kindness shown amongst each other can leave a lasting effect.

With an overflow of holiday spirit, Triad EAP partnered with HopeWest to bring gifts to patients in need of a little extra kindness and cheer during this past holiday season.

One of the patients who received a gift from this project is Bud. Bud loves to watercolor paint, and with the gifted paints, brushes and set up, he painted a picture of a moose. However, this was not any picture of a moose, his daughter took the photo.

He showed the moose photo while flipping through a hardcover photo book featuring photos of a variety of animals and landscapes. Next, he’s planning to paint Umcompahgre Peak. Bud has many photos to study and thanks to the generosity of the Triad EAP team, he now has the tools to paint them.

“Everybody was so glad we did it, we would love to do it more in the future. Everybody who works at Triad has that spirit. It’s because they love it and have a passion for it. We really wanted to make a difference,” said Nikki Hanks, Marketing Coordinator and Account Manager at Triad EAP and HopeWest volunteer.

The project allowed the volunteers from Triad to help patients on an individual level—bringing joy to not only the recipients of the gifts, but the givers as well. They learned about the interests of several other patients in addition to Bud and connected with them to contribute more acts of kindness over the holidays.
