Donald Lee Edmonds was a remarkable individual whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone her met. Born on March 6, 1942, in Kenvir, Kentucky, he was the son of William Harvey and Ruby Edmonds. His life took a transformative turn when he met Marion at Big Boys in Michigan, leading to a love-at-first-sight moment that blossomed into a 60-year marriage. Their union, celebrated on April 11, 1964, was a testament to their inseparable bond and shared journey through life.
Donald, who passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024, at the age of 82 in Whitewater, Colorado, was known for his pure and golden heart. He was a beacon of support for family and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a joyful joke. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for hunting, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding. Donald was not only a natural leader and a charismatic presence but also a skilled handyman, capable of fixing anything from bicycles to vehicles. His curiosity about technology made Google his steadfast companion. Donald lived every moment with zest, touching countless lives with his stories and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of love and enthusiasm for life.
Donald’s journey continues beyond, joining Harvey William Edmonds, his father; Ruby Edmonds, his mother; and Harold Edmonds, his brother.
Left behind in the love-filled circle: Marion Edmonds, his partner-in-crime for 60 years; Maureen Edmonds-Gentes, daughter; Joshua Gentes, son-in-law; Grandkids, Jared Edmonds, Brett & his better half Jessica Hodson, Tanner Gentes; Siblings, Emma Bowser and Jim Edmonds.
