HopeWest welcomes Dr. Shannon Keel, MD, to lead the future Program of All Inclusive Care of the Elderly (P.A.C.E.). Dr. Keel is an exceptional physician with geriatric and primary care along with the leadership skills needed to help guide the new program while simultaneously working with the hospice and palliative medicine programs at HopeWest.

“Having Dr. Keel’s experience is instrumental for the success of our expanding organization and continually meet the needs of our aging population,” said Christy Whitney Borchard, President & CEO of HopeWest.

Dr. Keel is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has been practicing for 15 years. Most recently Dr. Keel worked for St. Mary’s Family Medicine Residency, providing care for her own patients and training new physicians in
broad-spectrum family medicine.

Dr. Keel graduated from University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2000. She was recognized as a Piscano Scholar during medical school and has received numerous teaching awards. She completed the Advanced Physician Leadership Program through the Regional Institute for Health and Environmental Leadership and is currently working on her master’s degree in Public Health as part of the Leadership in Public Health Practices program through the University of Colorado.
