Helen lived in California during her youth. She moved to Grand Junction, Colorado, to marry the love of her life, Menzo (Doc or Wag) Wagner, who preceded her in death. She was the oldest of 13 children. She helped raise the last two of Menzo’s children and her youngest brother. Helen was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother to many. She was an excellent cook and caregiver.

Her work included Kuners, Dixson’s, School District 51, and Stouffer’s Chocolates. Bowling and camping were two of her passions. Bowling a perfect game and being a part of the State Bowling team brought her joy. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Helen was surrounded by family when she passed away at HopeWest on May 31, 2021. Her goal of living to be 100 years of age was only short by five years and a few months.
