A Loving Tribute

Daniel Edward “Ed” Ralston

July 31, 1937 – March 1, 2024
Submitted by Linda Ralston

Daniel Edward “Ed” Ralston was born in Jacksonville, FL, and was reared in Miami. He graduated from Miami Jackson High School in 1955 and immediately entered the United States Naval Academy, graduating in 1959. The newly minted Ensign was sent to Mayport, FL, to board the USN, Jonas Ingram. You have met a genuine sailor if he knows when he was introduced to Davy Jones as he crossed the equator at 0,00,00 latitude and 0,00,00 longitude on May 6, 1962. Ed separated from the Navy after eight years.

He then enrolled at the University of Florida for an MBA (Finance)program, graduating in 1964. During Ed’s working years, he was employed by Chemstrand (FL), Monsanto (MO), Fisher Controls (IA), Lacy Industries (IN), and Golden Rule Insurance (IN).

Ed was introduced to Jesus in his mid-30s. As he increased in knowledge of Jesus’ teachings, he became an ambassador, winning others to acknowledge a loving Savior. He anonymously gave his time, money, and wisdom to care for widows and children, feed the poor, and send missionaries to spread the Word.

Services will be at 10:00 am on March 26 at the Colorado Veterans Cemetery at 2830 Riverside Pkwy, Grand Junction, Colorado.
