HopeWest is thrilled to welcome Sandy Knapton, RN, as the new Director of the Ferris Care Center. Sandy brings over 35 years of diverse nursing and leadership experience to this crucial role. Her background spans emergency medicine, homecare, and rehab/hospice care, providing her with a wealth of knowledge in assessment, treatment, and patient-centered care.
Sandy’s commitment to holistic care, addressing the needs of the whole person – body, mind, and spirit – is in perfect alignment with the HopeWest mission. She expressed her enthusiasm, sharing, “I am honored to step into the role of Director at Ferris Care Center. I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care that supports both our patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments.”
As Director, Sandy will set the tone for a work culture rooted in the core values of HopeWest – honor & respect, openness & curiosity, personal accountability, enjoyment & appreciation, wisdom-seeking, empathy, spirit of volunteerism, generosity & service, and teamwork with trust. She will provide critical clinical oversight, mentorship, and visionary guidance to the FCC team, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients and their families.
