Profoundly changing lives

HopeWest Meeker

The community of Meeker came together in 2013, dreaming of bringing services to this small town of 2,500 residents. They approached HopeWest and we agreed to open unique palliative care and grief support programs in the area. These programs replicate the way earlier programs in the 1970s startedoffering care for free by relying on fundraising, volunteers, and collaboration with existing healthcare resources.

HopeWest Meeker staff and volunteers have cared for more than 100 families and friends since opening. Meeker children and teens receive grief support through our HopeWest Kids program. Adults in the community receive grief support from staff counselors, group education, and support groups.

Meeker Gala Postponed to 2021

Our beloved and well supported Meeker Ball is on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to hold the event again in October 2021.

Last year’s Great Outdoors themed event was a smashing success with more than 200 guests dancing the night away to the music of Ralph Dinosaur & the Fabulous Volcanoes.
