June Ann Robinson

June Ann Robinson was born in Denver, CO, on May 13, 1932, to Avery and Irma Hawbold and later raised by Helen King after Irma’s passing. June graduated from South High School in Denver and the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she was president of her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. She received her teaching degree from CU and taught school in Stockton, CA, Denver, CO, Iowa City, IA, and Evergreen, CO.

June married Ronald Robinson in 1958 and moved to Iowa City, where Susan was born. After moving back to Colorado, Christine, Kenton, and Cheryl were born, with Evergreen being their home for 25 years. During this time, June taught third grade at Wilmot and Marshdale, attended Church of the Hills, and, with Ron, enjoyed life in this small community.

In 1989, her plan to move to Glenwood Springs to open a Bed and Breakfast was on her bucket list. After restoring a 1904 Victorian home, the B&B Back In Time became a 10-year venture, filled with good times, new friends, and memories. Travel was a priority, so hundreds of Colorado adventures, as well as hiking many 14’ers, Canada, Europe, Australia, and the family homestead in Nova Scotia.

Most of all, she loved the Lord and, through Him, treasured many friends and, most of all, loved her family. June is survived by her four children and their families: Susan Jacobs, Christine Danska, Kenton Robinson, and Cheryl Newberry. June was also survived by her countless friends and extended family.

June was a wonderful woman, wife, mother, friend, and will be deeply missed.
