Have questions or need support today?
Common questions answered with care
Is it too early to reach out?
No, it’s never too early to ask questions or explore options.
Does hospice mean giving up?
Not at all. It means shifting focus to comfort, quality of life, and making the most of the time left with your loved one.
What happens next?
We will guide you step by step and at your pace. That’s what we are here for.
What if we aren’t ready for hospice?
HopeWest also offers care options for those coping with a serious illness, who are not yet ready for hospice care.
Can my loved one still receive treatment?
Yes. Many of our services work alongside ongoing care focused on your loved one’s comfort and goals.
Where does care take place?
Wherever your loved one is most comfortable. This can be at home, a care facility, or another setting.
Is this covered by insurance?
Yes. Most services, including hospice care, are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and many private insurance plans. We will walk you through coverage.
Your loved one may benefit from HopeWest if they’re experiencing:
• Increased visits to doctor, hospital, or emergency room
• Difficulties dressing or bathing
• Treatment side effects with little or no health improvement
• Decreased appetite
• Weight loss
• Depression or withdrawal from loved ones
If you’re asking yourself if it’s the right time to reach out, it’s a good time to connect.
