HopeWest celebrated the generosity of our supporters with the company of more than 270 guests during the annual Spring Swing event in Plateau Valley. The gala, themed “The Great Outdoors,” was held on Saturday, April 13 at the Mesa Community Center and was brought to life thanks to 63 community volunteers.

The evening’s events were a celebration of generosity beginning with a special presentation featuring the HopeWest Kids grief program currently serving 27 kids and teens in Plateau Valley and De Beque through monthly groups and individual counseling.

The event continued with dinner and a special live auction including “the world’s best cheesecake” and a hand-forged knife which both ended in a bidding war and sold for more than $2,000! The event’s proceeds after expenses equal nearly $75,000. These funds play a critical role in HopeWest’s ability to meet its mission every day.

“I am incredibly grateful for the support and generosity of our community,” said Susan Bevan, HopeWest Program Director in Plateau Valley and De Beque. “The money raised at Spring Swing stays in our community and allows us to grow and change to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors. Thank you!”
