Delta, CO – HopeWest is celebrating its 25-year anniversary during the Delta gala themed “Celebrating the Past, Illuminating the Future” on Saturday, August 18. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center.

“For 25 years, our supporters have understood the importance of bringing dignity to the end of life and serving those who are grieving, aging, or needing additional support,” said Christy Whitney Borchard, President and CEO of HopeWest. “Through generosity, our community has enabled HopeWest to provide the kind of care we all want for our loved ones—and for that we thank you. By illuminating the future, you ensure HopeWest is able to meet the growing needs of our community.”

Soon after inception of HopeWest in Grand Junction in 1993, the nonprofit and community-driven hospice, palliative care and grief support program was introduced to Delta in 1999. Since then, HopeWest has served more than 22,000 families across western Colorado.

The evening will be filled with a mix of mission and fun. Following dinner, Snub Liles, long-time supporter of HopeWest, will give a special presentation sharing why he believes in the mission of HopeWest. The night will continue with a silent auction and dancing.

All proceeds will support HopeWest serving Delta county and our mission of profoundly changing the way our community experiences aging, serious illness and grief—one family at a time.
