The HopeWest Gala returned to Delta for the first time in five years, welcomed back with enthusiasm from its attendees. This fundraising event netted nearly $87,000 to support the programs of HopeWest \u2013 providing compassionate care and comfort to patients and families in Delta County, during some of life\u2019s most difficult moments.<\/p>\n
With the creativity and dedication of our talented volunteers, the Bill Heddles Recreation Center was transformed into a \u201cNight on the Nile.\u201d Attendees were treated to a dinner catered by Cassie Bees at the Grove, enjoyed music by volunteers Thomas & Beki Neil, and danced the night away to the music of live band, Montage.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe evening celebrated how our community helps make exceptional care possible for families experiencing aging, illness, and grief,\u201d said Jenni Neil, HopeWest Program Director. \u201cI\u2019m grateful to our supporters who have been instrumental in HopeWest\u2019s success and whose continued support positions us to meet the growing needs of our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Delivering exceptional care is part of the HopeWest promise. In upholding this commitment, HopeWest will use the funds raised at this event to further enhance the expertise and skills of our clinicians and support staff by investing in education for all disciplines, focusing on the latest advancements in aging, hospice, palliative care, and grief support.<\/p>\n
Susan Bevan, a Hotchkiss high school graduate, and HopeWest nurse of 19 years, highlighted how HopeWest\u2019s investment in her, through certifications, learning, and workshops, inspired professional growth as a direct patient care nurse, educator, public speaker, fundraiser, and leader.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a direct correlation between this investment in our team members and the excellent care and support we provide to our friends and neighbors \u2013 here at home in Delta County,\u201d said Bevan. \u201cYour generosity will help us recruit the best and retain our best, fostering resilience in the face of an every-changing healthcare landscape.\u201d<\/p>\n
